Fishing Time

Emmie is getting ready to go for some big fish. She's showing off her extra smelly super magic fish bait.

This is how Clay prepares to go fishing. It didn't take long for him to get bored.

I'll give you one guess as to how many fish they caught this day. We had pizza for dinner!

Sister vs Brother

Here are the best pictures I could imagine to depict the differences between our 2 children. We went to the fish hatchery at the Nimbus Dam. The kids each had a cup of food to feed the rainbow trout. Emmie delicately sprinkled a few pellets of her food at a time with grace and flair. Clay chucked his food all at once with extreme gusto and a grunt. Having a boy and a girl so close in age helps me appreciate the differences between them. I could never choose one over the other and I'm sure glad we get to experience both.

Fishing at Bear River Reservoir

Emmie and Clay insisted on casting for themselves. Everyone needed to stand back a good 10 feet to keep from getting hooked. They don't let the lines rest for more than a second or two before they are reeling them back in. Dad was very busy jumping from one line to the next freeing snags and re-baiting as the bait flew off with each wild cast. The big ones all got away that day.
